Valley Green Feast

Local, Organic Food Delivered to your door

The average distance that Americans’ food travels to reach their plates is 1,500 miles, bringing with it environmental costs from emissions and fuel consumption.  As global climate change becomes increasingly apparent, the hidden costs of the food we eat appear more dire.   As a community, we can significantly decrease our carbon footprint by buying more local foods, rather than buying foods that have been driven across the country.

Additionally, choosing organic foods that do not use chemical pesticides and fertilizers further decreases our carbon use, and also significantly lowers the land and water pollution caused by the food that we eat.  By supporting local, organic farmers, we are supporting their farming practices and helping to preserve open land.

When we buy locally, we invest our money right back into our community. We support our local economy and the farmers that work so hard to feed us.
